liberasurecode-dev software package provides support of multiple erasure code backends - development files, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install liberasurecode-dev
liberasurecode-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the liberasurecode-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep liberasurecode-dev *
You will get with liberasurecode-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
